1. Overview

Labs365 ("we", "our", or "us") operates the LaunchKit platform at getlaunchkit.dev. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and how we use and protect it. By using LaunchKit you agree to this policy.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information:

  • Account data - your name, email address, and authentication credentials when you create an account (including via Google or GitHub OAuth).
  • Usage data - pages visited, features used, kit generation activity, and in-app events (collected via PostHog).
  • Input data - app descriptions, URLs, and other content you provide to generate marketing kits.
  • Payment data - billing information processed by our payment provider. We do not store full card details on our servers.
  • Technical data - IP address, browser type, device identifiers, and log data for security and debugging purposes.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide, operate, and improve the LaunchKit service
  • To generate AI-powered marketing kits from your input
  • To manage your account and subscription plan
  • To send transactional emails (e.g. password reset, billing receipts)
  • To analyze product usage and improve user experience
  • To detect fraud and maintain platform security

We do not sell your personal data to third parties and do not use your kit content to train AI models.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services that may process your data:

  • Firebase / Google Cloud - authentication, database, and AI model hosting.
  • Paddle - payment processing and subscription management. Paddle acts as the Merchant of Record for all transactions. Your billing data is processed and stored by Paddle in accordance with their privacy policy.
  • PostHog - product analytics (self-hosted or cloud).
  • Tavily - optional competitor research feature; only invoked when you explicitly trigger it.

Each provider is bound by their own privacy policy and applicable data processing agreements.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. You may delete your account at any time, after which we will remove your personal data within 30 days except where retention is required by law. Generated kit content stored in Firestore is deleted along with your account.

6. Cookies

LaunchKit uses a session cookie (launchkit-session) solely to maintain your authenticated state. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. Analytics are collected server-side or through a first-party PostHog integration.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction or deletion of your data
  • Object to or restrict certain processing activities
  • Data portability (receive your data in a machine-readable format)

8. Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including HTTPS encryption, Firebase security rules restricting data access to authenticated owners, and regular dependency audits. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Children's Privacy

LaunchKit is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, notify you via email or an in-app notice. Your continued use of LaunchKit after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
